ASPIRE

ASPIRE is a serious game meant for military personnel who are undergoing the Operation Stress Control and Readiness Training (OSCAR) program. This serious game is meant to help train those personnel to deal with a number of problems that soldiers may encounter within the field. This game not only presents a number of complex scenarios that require careful forethought, but also a number of techniques that the OSCAR trainer can utilize to help mitigate signs of stress that appear both visually and aurally.

My work on the project revolved largely on helping the rapid prototyping, iteration, and usability evaluation stages. I helped to gather information regarding what clinical psychologists would want to include in the program, and making it feel authentic for patients at a nearby Veteran Affairs (VA) hospital. Upon their feedback, I helped design, plan, and program the next prototype.
